Greenwood Community Centre in Hampton Hill offers a choice of welcoming, affordable rooms and a spacious hall, suitable for everything from children’s parties and family celebrations to exercise classes, meetings and community events.

Stanton Hall
Our largest and most versatile space, ideal for celebrations, children’s parties, exercise and dance classes, performances and community events.
Our kitchen provides a practical space for preparing and serving refreshments and food, supporting celebrations, community events and activities at Greenwood.
A bright, welcoming space for meetings, workshops, classes and smaller community activities, offering a comfortable setting for groups to come together.
A comfortable, versatile space for small meetings of up to eight people, counselling sessions and group work, offering a welcoming setting for discussion and collaboration.
Our smallest room offers a comfortable, private setting for counselling, one-to-one appointments, tuition and small meetings, with a sofa, armchair and meeting table.

At Hampton & Hampton Hill Voluntary Care (H&HHVC), we believe that everyone deserves to feel supported, valued and connected to the community around them. Sometimes it’s the little things — a friendly conversation, help with an everyday task or an opportunity to get out and meet others — that make the biggest difference.
We’re a local charity supporting residents of Hampton and Hampton Hill (TW12), in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, with a particular focus on older people and adults who may be experiencing loneliness, social isolation or difficulties managing everyday activities.
Our dedicated volunteers provide practical help, companionship and opportunities to enjoy community life. From support in people’s own homes to social activities, outings and friendship groups at Greenwood Community Centre, our services are designed to help local people maintain their independence, build friendships and feel part of a caring, supportive community.
We recognise that everyone’s circumstances are different. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, a family member, a neighbour or someone you work with, our friendly team is here to listen, discuss your needs and explore how we might help. Where we’re unable to provide support directly, we can, with your consent, help you find other appropriate local services.
Accessing our services
To use our community support services, we ask eligible local residents to complete a simple registration form. We also invite an annual donation of £25 to help towards the cost of providing our services.
If you’re unable to make a donation, please still get in touch. We don’t want financial circumstances to prevent someone from asking for help.
Some activities, excursions and transport services have additional charges to help cover their costs. Support is subject to individual circumstances, eligibility and volunteer availability.

Befriending
Our friendly volunteers help local people stay connected through regular home visits and telephone conversations, offering companionship, a listening ear and opportunities to build friendships.
Need a little help with your shopping? Our volunteers can collect groceries and everyday essentials on your behalf or take you shopping by car so you can choose what you need yourself. It’s all about helping you stay independent and connected to your local community.
Get Digital
Need a little help getting online? Our Digital Buddies can help you build confidence using smartphones, tablets, computers and online services, making it easier to stay connected and access everyday digital services. If we don’t have a volunteer available, we can help you find support through another local organisation. We’ll always ask for your consent before making a referral.
Walking Buddies
Enjoy some fresh air and friendly company with our Walking Buddies service. Volunteers can accompany you on gentle local walks, either one-to-one or in a small group, helping you stay active and connected with others. Please note that volunteers cannot provide physical assistance, so participants must be able to walk independently.
Community Transport
Getting out and about isn’t always easy. Our volunteer drivers help local people attend medical appointments, social activities and other essential journeys. Where specialist or wheelchair-accessible transport is needed, we can explore suitable arrangements with local transport providers. Please contact us to discuss your needs, availability and any applicable charges.
Get Social
Fancy getting out, meeting people and enjoying something different? We organise excursions, social outings and seasonal events that bring local people together. Whether it’s a visit to somewhere interesting or a chance to enjoy good company, our activities offer opportunities to make friends, have fun and stay connected. Places, transport arrangements and charges vary by event, so please contact us for the latest programme.
On Your Doorstep
Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference. Our volunteers can help with practical tasks such as collecting prescriptions and delivering items to your home. We also offer occasional wellbeing parcels, seasonal treats, book deliveries and our jigsaw lending service. Support depends on individual circumstances and volunteer availability, so please contact us to find out how we can help.
Birthday Project
Everyone deserves to feel remembered on their birthday! Our volunteers create and send handmade birthday cards to people registered with our charity, bringing a little joy and reminding them they’re valued.
We also try to make milestone birthdays ending in a zero — our special “noughty birthdays” (60, 70, 80, 90 and beyond) — extra memorable with a homemade birthday cake baked by one of our wonderful volunteers, subject to volunteer availability.
It’s our way of making birthdays a little brighter and helping people feel connected to their community.
Men’s Social Group
Looking for good company and something to look forward to each week? Our Men’s Social Group brings local men together at Greenwood Community Centre for a varied programme of activities, including quizzes, games, crafts, gentle exercise, interesting talks and plenty of friendly conversation. It’s a welcoming opportunity to make friends, try something different and enjoy time together.
Women’sSocial Group
Enjoy friendship, conversation and a little variety in your week! Our Women’s Social Group meets at Greenwood Community Centre for a changing programme of activities, including crafts, gentle exercise, quizzes, games, visiting speakers and social gatherings. Whether you’re joining in an activity or simply enjoying the company, there’s always a warm welcome.
Book Club
Love a good book and a friendly discussion? Our Book Club brings local people together to share their thoughts, discover new authors and enjoy conversation about their latest read. Meetings take place approximately every six weeks, either in person or online, with dates arranged in advance. It’s a relaxed and welcoming way to enjoy reading and make new connections.
Excursion Programme
Fancy a change of scenery? Our regular excursions offer opportunities to explore interesting places, enjoy new experiences and spend time with others. From local attractions and gardens to seasonal outings and special visits, there’s always something to look forward to. Greenwood Community Centre is easily accessible using public transport. Bus routes 285, R68 and R70 stop in the High Street, a few minutes walk from the Centre. The nearest train station is Fulwell (FLW), just under a mile from Greenwood Community Centre.
