About us

Supporting the local TW12 community –  join in today!

Hampton & Hampton Hill Voluntary Care is a charity in the London Borough of Richmond that was set up by local people in 1974 to be a good neighbour to the local community supporting people who were socially isolated due to their age, infirmity, mobility restrictions or other personal circumstances.

We continue to pursue our founders’ aims in providing help and support to those in need, complementing both statutory services and those available from other providers with whom we work in close partnership.

We have managed Greenwood Community Centre on behalf of Hampton Fund (formerly Hampton Fuel Allotments Charity) since 1992. The Centre provides offices for the charity and a base for many of our community projects and activities designed to promote the health and wellbeing of the community.

Befriending Service

We support local people with regular visits or telephone calls from one of our volunteers. Discover more about:

Shopping Services

We can support people with their weekly shop with a volunteer who will shop on their behalf.

Get Digital

Not everyone has access to digital services. Our volunteers will help and we can provide equipment on short term loan enabling clients to join in with groups and activities on-line.

Walking Buddies

Our volunteers can support you in taking regular walks and gentle exercise, either one-to-one or in small groups, tailored to your ability. However, they cannot provide physical support, so you must be able to walk independently.

Community Transport

We provide accessible transport to Greenwood Community Centre groups and weekly excursions. Our volunteer drivers also offer lifts to health appointments, social activities, faith groups, and community services.

Get Social

Stay connected and boost your wellbeing! If public transport is a challenge, we offer weekly minibus excursions and seasonal events at Greenwood Community Centre for registered clients.

On your Doorstep

We offer doorstep services including prescription collection and delivery, welfare parcels like craft packs and seasonal treats, food parcels for eligible clients, Book Club deliveries, and a Jigsaw Library service with collection once finished.

Birthday Project

To show our registered clients we care, we send a handmade birthday card from our volunteers, along with a reminder that we’re here to help if needed.
